Global Air Force Workforce Management System

A conceptual system for administering an aviation workforce across its full lifecycle — from a stated personnel requirement through to retirement and civilian transition.

Workforce Lifecycle

Ten stages, one continuous record

The lifecycle is the spine of the platform. Every screen, permission and report exists to move a person through it, or to evidence where they currently sit.

  1. 01

    Personnel Requirement

The government states roles, volumes and standards required.

  2. 02

    Candidate Pool

Qualified professionals registered against those requirements.

  3. 03

    Screening

Eligibility, education, medical, fitness and security checks.

  4. 04

    Training

Delivered by authorized academies and certified institutions.

  5. 05

    Certification

Qualifications recorded, verified and tracked for currency.

  6. 06

    Government Approval

The decision gate, held entirely by the sovereign government.

  7. 07

    Appointment

Lawful appointment or enlistment under national authority.

  8. 08

    Active Service

Workforce administration through the service period.

  9. 09

    Reserve

Reserve status where permitted by national law.

  10. 10

    Retirement

Transition support and civilian career pathways.

Candidate Portal

What a candidate would see about themselves

A candidate sees their own status and nothing else. The design principle is minimum necessary visibility, in both directions.

  • Privacy — personal information collected only where it is necessary for the stage in question.
  • Security — protection appropriate to the sensitivity of screening and medical data.
  • Access control — role-based access, so each party sees only what its function requires.
  • Data governance — defined retention, handling and correction processes.

Design Principles

Six principles the platform concept is built on

01

Government-owned decisions

The system records and presents; it never automates an approval that belongs to a government.

02

Single lifecycle record

One record per person across every stage, rather than disconnected systems per function.

03

Evidence over assertion

A qualification is a verified record with a source and an expiry, not a claim on a form.

04

Least privilege

Role-based access so each participant sees strictly what their function requires.

05

Auditability

Who decided what, when, and on what basis — recoverable after the fact.

06

Data minimisation

Sensitive information collected only where a stage genuinely requires it.

Platform Enquiries

Discuss the platform concept for a government programme.

Technology, data governance and reporting are discussed as part of the wider programme framework rather than as a separate product.
